The AVENIA cluster, in partnership with the AXELERA cluster, is organizing a webinar dedicated to regulated carbon trading systems.
This meeting will provide a better understanding of how these mechanisms work, their scope of coverage (sectors and greenhouse gas emissions), the evolution of quotations, the revenues generated, and the European border carbon adjustment mechanism.
A number of questions will be addressed:
- How is the price of CO₂ set?
- Why does it vary?
- Who receives the revenues and what are they used for?
- What are the issues surrounding the border carbon adjustment mechanism?
The webinar will take place on June 2, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
To answer these questions, Paula Coussy (IFPEN), a specialist in these subjects, will take part in this session.
This webinar is aimed at all those involved in the CCUS, as well as all members wishing to develop their understanding of carbon market issues.
